Are you or someone you know thinking about purchasing a home?


  • Do you want to be part of a team that will assist and support your dream to own your own home? and

  • Do you currently reside in Ormond Beach, Holly Hill, Daytona Beach, South Daytona, and Port Orange and consider your present living conditions substandard? and

  • Is your income at least $20,300 ($1,691 per month), but not more than $40,530 ($3378) per month) with consideration of number of persons in family? (Incomes based on 2012 HUD Median Income levels for Volusia County)

Basic Information on Applying for Homeownership

 

To apply for homeownership, you must meet the following basic criteria:

  • HOUSING NEED - Currently living in substandard housing (structural problems, overcrowding, etc.) and a resident of our affiliate area (Ormond Beach, Holly Hill, Daytona Beach, South Daytona, Port Orange) for a least one year.

  • ABILITY TO PAY - Documentation of income that will support the expected housing costs (mortgage, property taxes, homeowners' insurance, utilities, etc.) plus provision for other family staples (food, clothing, transportation).  Credit Counseling resources are available in our affiliate area.

  • WILLINGNESS TO PARTNER - Committing at least 300 hours for a single adult-headed family or 500 for a dual adult-headed family of sweat equity over at least one year's time towards attaining homeownership. Willingness to partner also means participating and completing classes and workshops on new homeownership.
