PUBLIC NOTICE
Habitat for Humanity of Florida,
Inc. and Halifax Habitat for Humanity, Inc.
NOTICE OF
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
Halifax Habitat for Humanity, Inc. in conjunction with Habitat
for Humanity of Florida, Inc., are planning to apply for HUD
Neighborhood Stabilization Program 2(NSP2) funding with the
intent to address the stabilization and revitalization of neighborhoods in
targeted neighborhoods located within Volusia
County and its municipalities
that have been identified as being significantly affected and at
risk due to factors related to the
national and state’s economic
downturn and foreclosure crisis.
Habitat for Humanity of Florida,
Inc.’s draft NSP2 Application is
for the utilization of funds not to
exceed $50,000,000 under Title
XII of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009
(ARRA). Eligible NSP2 activities
include: establish financing
methods for purchase and redevelopment of foreclosed upon
homes and residential properties, purchase and rehabilitate homes and residential properties that have been abandoned
or foreclosed upon, redevelop
demolished or vacant properties
as housing.
Halifax Habitat for Humanity,
Inc. and Habitat for Humanity of
Florida, Inc. are soliciting public
comments and recommendations to assist in developing the
objectives, strategies and approaches that will best utilize
the resources being made available through this Federal funding opportunity. For
a description of the proposed target geography, and proposed uses of
NSP2 funds, please visit the

days from the date of this notice.
