Greetings from Halifax Habitat for Humanity!  If this is your first time to seek volunteer service with us, we appreciate your interest and welcome your support.  Many of you have already been involved for quite a while and continue to make time for Habitat, despite your busy schedule.  We are very grateful for your dedication.   

Every single person plays an important role in helping Habitat’s family partners reach their dream of home ownership.  Your willingness to give of what you have to make things better for someone else is the spirit that unites us.  With that common purpose and the varied experiences, talents, and interests each person brings, we make a powerful force.  Not only do our family partners reap the benefit of your efforts, but your volunteer service makes a positive impact on the surrounding neighborhoods and communities.  And with such a gift as this, how could you not feel great about your contribution?!   So, come join the fun, make some new friends and see what all the excitement is about.   

To get started, contact me for an information packet that includes our Volunteer Application.  Continue to check this site periodically for updates on our construction plans.  We have recently completed three houses and expect to start the next one sometime this summer.  As soon as I know the exact date I’ll post the jobs right here.  Then you can let me know when you want to help out.  It’s as easy as that.  I look forward to hearing from you.
